About the Artist
I’m a New England-based artist, illustrator, and scientist.
Follow me on Instagram for my art, and visit me on Linked in for my Scientific career.
I'm Will Zolla, and I’m a freelance artist and illustrator.
I’m also a Scientist specializing in Assay Development in the Gene Therapy space. You can learn more about this aspect of my career on LinkedIn, but this site is dedicated to showcasing my art and design-related creative pursuits.
I’ve been drawing since I was a young child, admiring and inspired by great illustrators like Brian Froud, Alan Lee, and the Hildebrandt brothers, among others.
I think John Singer Sargent is perhaps my favorite old master; his murals in the Boston Public Library have inspired me most of all. I had the opportunity to study these works during my first job, painting murals for the city of Boston, as a young teenager. The combination of painterly rendering, proud linework, and graphical and geometric elements works in this fascinating and timeless piece, and I try to impart that spirit in my work where possible.
Thank you for visiting my website. I invite you to explore my art and illustrations, and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or to request a commission.
